Farm Profit through Sustainability
The aim of the TNN approach is to obtain optimal health for human, animal, plant and soil. Our staff, here at Woodbell Marketing are also committed to this outcome.
Since plants are made up of the elements they obtain from the soil and animals from what they obtain from plants and humans from what they obtain from both plants and animals, it is clear to us that a balanced health achieved through nutrition has it's foundation in a balanced healthy and biologically alive soil.
At TNN it is recognised and backed by research that a totally organic approach to agriculture is not viable in the competitive markets of today, nor is it able to be practiced without taking up land for green manure and compost that could be otherwise farmed, and would still, over time, run short of some of the elements needed in a balanced soil.
On the other hand TNN has proven that an approach to agriculture through healthy soil can vastly decrease the use of herbicides and pesticides, as well as animal health treatments, by promoting a naturally balanced diet and environment for plants and animals.
To achieve this ideal TNN has established a line of products that includes organic, biological and mineral products that are all free of heavy metals. Because few can start with a perfect soil TNN also recognises the need to supplement each level from plants, animals and man so they can all enjoy the optimal benefits from good nutrition, while the soil is being repaired to a state of balanced biological life.
TNN also has a line of maintenance products to maintain optimal growth levels for producing crops of pastures, fruit, vegetables and flowers. TNN mineral-plus animal supplements arose from the realisation of the nutritional background of many common animal health problems caused by mineral deficiencies. The products have a proven record of assisting in the management of, among other things, *sub-clinical mastitis *fertility problems *grass tetany *retained placenta *milk fever *low vigor/ill thrift *aborted calves *low weight gain. The advent of all these things and many more are greatly reduced when the stock have a balanced intake of nutrients. These supplementary products are produced for cows, sheep, deer, pigs, alpacas and horses. Each one is formulated for the nutritional needs of each animal and more are being developed as needed.
The TNN approach is to provide a system not just a product, so the end user gets only what they need and doesn’t have to pay for product to be lost to the atmosphere and leach through the soil to create a problem in our waterways. The system begins with a comprehensive soil analysis and farm evaluation so the best solution can be offered to any situation, saving the user money by reducing costs and increasing profitability.
At Woodbell Marketing we look forward to helping you.
The ‘Hidden Hunger’
Crops, pastures and livestock often have a hidden hunger without showing specific nutrient deficiency symptoms. By the time symptoms are evident, the plant or animal will already be experiencing a yield or productivity reduction, resulting in loss of profit to you the producer. In all regions of Australia, nutritional inadequacies can prevent attainment of high levels of production from pastures and conserved pasture products such as hay and silage.
Low levels of animal production during times of high feed availability are common to most parts of Australia and the basic problem is deficiency of essential nutrients in the pasture feed, does not allow the build-up of rumen micro-organisms, resulting in grossly impaired ruminal digestion efficiency. The correction of mineral deficiencies not only converts a low quality pasture to a highly nutritious one but also enhances the multiplication of feed digesting micro-organism in the rumen.
